Announcing our January Board Meeting

Hi Everyone!

Our January Board Meeting  will be held Monday, January 21st, at a new location, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf.  Our board meetings are always open to VMQG members.

We will be meeting in the conference room and will begin at 6pm. Click here to access a map of the Main Street location of Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf.  It’s in the old Barnes and Noble building on the corner of Main and Telephone Road.

CB&TL requires that all attendees purchase “something” from them. A cup of coffee or tea shouldn’t be too expensive.
FYI – We are NOT supposed to bring in outside food, which is understandable since they are providing the meeting room for free.
If you are not a board member or committee chair and plan on attending please leave a comment on this post.

Thanks!
Maureen

The Modern Quilt Guild’s Winter 2012 Challenge: Madrona Road

Update: please visit the Modern Quilt Guild’s post for more information about the Michael Miller challenge, as well as the new, exciting Violet’s Choice prize!

I am thrilled to see 10 of our VMQG members excited to participate in the Madrona Road challenge! All participants should now have their fabrics in hand. Your quilting assignment is to create a modern quilted item by January 31st (for consideration for the Michael Miller booth at Quiltcon) or as close to that date as possible. Your project can include more of the Madrona Road collection by Violet Craft, as well as any solids. The solid included in your bundle is Michael Miller’s Cotton Couture in Straw. From the Kona solids, we also like Yarrow, Charcoal, Candy Blue, and Delft Blue.Continue reading “The Modern Quilt Guild’s Winter 2012 Challenge: Madrona Road”
