December Meeting Reminder
Date: Monday, December 9th
Time: 6pm to 8pm (VIC open at 5:45pm)
Location : Ventura Improv Company (directions)
Happy December! This meeting will be filled with food, fun and fabric!! 🙂
We are so excited that our December meeting/holiday party is this coming Monday! Hopefully you read the email we sent out last month announcing the change in venue for this meeting/party and all the related info. If not, please see your “December Meeting Reminder” email.
Don’t forget your challenge block. The challenge was to make something where the color palette is derived using Adobe Kuler in the modern aesthetic. See this post for all the details. Along with your completed block, please bring your source photo or image from which the inspiration was taken.
Becky brought to our attention that the Ventura Improv Company has a donation bin for unwrapped toys at the theatre. They are collecting toys in support of the Christmas Shoppe and their desire to help the less fortunate. If you would like to donate an inexpensive unwrapped gift, it would be greatly appreciated. This would be a purely non-mandatory gesture.
Opportunity quilt: Chairperson Scott is asking every one to contribute a block to be assembled into an opportunity quilt. The design will be “block within a block”. Please check this link for all the specifics.
Winter Fat Quarter Raffle : We are having another fat quarter raffle since the first one was so fun! Check out all the details in this post.
Snacks: A big “Thank You!” to everyone who signed up to bring snacks!! If you want to bring snacks and didn’t get the chance to sign up, please contact Lynne (check your meeting reminder email for her email address) and let her know what you are bringing.
