We’re showing off our completed UFOs and Ugly Fabric Blocks from our December challenge. Also, bring your Show and Tell quilt items!
Membership dues: If you joined VMQG between January and June, your membership fee is due — $50 for one year. Please bring a check payable to VMQG. Can’t remember if you are January or June? Expect a short email notice later this week if you are due in January.
Parking: As usual, there is street parking as well as a large parking structure at Santa Clara and California.
Building entry: Refer to your reminder email for the code to the door.

Hope to keep the meeting from getting too long. I’d like to have as many Committee Chairs as can make it for just this first meeting so we can get some logistics out of the way. I know the beauty of being on a committee is that you don’t have to go to board meetings, but if you can make this one, great.

Our December 2014 board meeting will be held Tuesday, December 16th, 6pm at Communication Administrator Stacey’s house.
The board meeting will be held at Baja Fresh at 4726 Telephone Road in Ventura. Same date and time as originally planned. All attendees must purchase a food item (sorry).
Our board meetings are always open to VMQG members.

December 8th is our holiday party meeting. I’m keeping the ‘business’ part to a minimum so we can eat, drink, and chat. We will, of course, have time for raffles and showing off quilts.
Don’t forget to bring your Small Quilt Crayon Challenge project. Like working against a deadline and haven’t started yet? HERE are the guidelines of the challenge.

Dues are $50 per year. Your first regular meeting is free. If you want to come back but aren’t ready to join, a nominal fee of $5 will be charged. Then, you have to join. If you join between January and June then your dues will be due again in January. If you join between July and December, your dues will be due again in July. Please see Maureen to pay your dues.

Hey all, here are the guidelines for the November Small Quilt Crayon Challenge:
1. Each participant will draw two crayons from a bag. Those colors and their various shades will be the only colors allowed for your fabrics.
2. The theme is the maker’s choice. Please have the modern aesthetic reflected in the design of your quilt.
3. The quilt must be no larger than 24 inches on any given side.
4. The quilt must have a top, batting, and back (3 layers). The maker may use any quilt method.
5. Please bring your finished quilt along with the crayons to the December meeting for Show and Tell.
